Dean Henderson Not a save to make before the break until tested by an opponent's curled attempt. His sliding challenge on Qazim Laci demonstrated his anticipation. 6/10

Jarell Quansah Tested against Albania’s primary attacker in their forward. Started through the middle initially but moved to the flank after a teammate was introduced. 7

The defender Pushed into midfield when in possession, as he has done in the past. Sometimes lacked urgency when carrying play and the experiment was shelved by the interval. 6/10

The tall defender Always dangerous on corners and free-kicks, per usual, perhaps is another option to his teammate in defense instead of paired with him. One wayward distribution after the break almost led to the first goal from the visitors. Six

Nico O’Reilly A further composed performance from the rising star following his initial appearance against another side. A teammate did not capitalize on full advantage of a gorgeous touch behind their defense. The role is his to lose already. 7/10

Adam Wharton His first start for his country. A bit loose on the ball however his inswinging deliveries posed a danger. A useful game manager available to the manager to utilize against teams who drop deep. Cautioned after a reckless challenge. Six

The midfielder Crosses from dead balls and free kicks were dangerous. Enjoyed license to drift down the left flank yet found himself in an offside position as the pass came in front of goal. Given a deserved break after an hour. 6

The star midfielder Functioned in a high position on the right and also did plenty of dirty work. Displayed moments of class but dragged an effort wide. Withdrawn towards the end by a teammate, a fellow player, after receiving a caution. 7/10

Jarrod Bowen Was presented with the team's top opening of the first half, his effort excellently kept out from the opposing goalkeeper. As Quansah hanging back, he had to provide width on the right yet his deliveries from the touchline were hit and miss. Replaced with 15 to go. 6/10

The captain The match-winner netting seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth goals at international level. His first a trademark opportunist's goal while the second an excellent headed goal after peeling away off his defender. Now 32, he continues to improve and England are strong contenders in future competitions with him up top. 8

The attacker Struggled to make an impact out wide. Had a decent opportunity when set up from a teammate yet the keeper made the save. Rashford produced a bigger effect after coming on. 5
