Cameron Norrie earned the most notable success of his career by rallying from a early deficit to overcome top-ranked player Carlos Alcaraz with a stunning comeback in the early stage of the prestigious indoor tournament.

Although he had previously defeated Alcaraz on two occasions, this victory represents Norrie's maiden win over a sitting world number one.

Yet, the British contender slowly worked himself back into the game by delivering with improved accuracy and dragging the Spanish opponent into prolonged, grueling rallies.
